  1. I just gave Shango another listen tonight after what has probably been years since listening to it from start to finish. I have much, much more respect for this album now in than I ever did before. I guess I always considered it Juno Reactor's bastard child for some reason.

  3. Jan 25,  · This album is really where Juno Reactor decided to say goodbye to trance beats and hello to world music. While the previous album, Bible of Dreams, had hinted towards a more ethnic feel (chanting vocals, tribal instruments), Shango explores this genre to the fullest/5().
  4. Oct 17,  · -A kind of an organic-ambient sound found on songs like Solaris and Song for the Ancestors. This is kind of a new direction for Juno Reactor, because in the past, they've mostly been about spacey-melodies, and complex jungle rythms.-A more African sound, found on songs like Hule Lam, and Badimo/5(59).
  5. Juno Reactor is an English musical and performing group known for their cinematic fusion of electronic, global influences, and orchestral symphonic approach, collaborating with composer Don Davis and composing for the musical score of The Matrix (Reloaded and Revolutions).Central to the project is Ben Watkins and his collaborations with a constantly changing ensemble of musicians from across Missing: Badimo.
  6. For me, obtaining a copy of Shango was really hard to get where I live. Eventually I bought it from Juno Reactor's official website. For me, I thought that the great electronic sounds that they have produced over the years died down a little bit (Ben Watkins did say that he developed a hatred of eletronic music after the Bible of Dreams tour in )and the sounds that you will hear the most /5(10).
  7. A solid if sparse middle of the road album for Juno Reactor, and probably one of their more popular releases. Taking cues from Bible of Dreams, the band has still kept the goa but also uped the tempo dramatically with added techno remicanihomic.ciagnacicobunprobderrehodefuta.infoinfo sure I dont have to point out the albums single Pistolero was used in the movie Once Upon a Time in Mexico, its a solid track and lends itself well to the.
  8. Some of the best Juno Reactor tunes ever are on this album: Pistolero and Masters of the Universe are an amazing synthesis of the energetically dramatic 'epics' of early Juno Reactor (Feel the Universe, Labyrinth, Rotorblade, Samurai, High Energy Protons, etc) mixed with the cooly dark organic feel of Conga Fury and Children of the Night on.
